How to Make a Creative Writing Skill Resume?
How to Make a Creative Writing Skill Resume? The first step in creating a creative writing skill resume is to write a creative resume. This does not mean, write an essay or anything like that. What you need to do is focus on the skills that you possess and how these would benefit your potential employer. An example is if you are proficient in creative writing, then include it in your resume. Some things that might make an employer curious are whether you have many job offers, especially if you have worked in some of the companies that you have applied for. It is worth mentioning that these companies are usually smaller businesses with a lesser budget and hence they are not expecting to pay you the much higher salaries that larger corporations are known to pay their employees. For the sake of your potential employer, it would not hurt to at least have a few job offers out there. Also, the previous employers would look into your character, so if you seem honest and genuine, they will want to know more about you. This could lead to an interview as well. So if you are talented at creative writing, a creative resume is definitely something that you should be ready for.Once you have made your skill, it is then time to compile a resume. It can be a bit tricky in terms of formatting. So, make sure that you use a formatting program like Word or Open Office. Then all you need to do is organize the skills in order of importance, i.e.The first category of skills are the basic skills that you have been used to in school. These are your learning curve. A college student will always look for this at school and would always be looking for it in the future.Skills in the second section of the resume would include the profession that you are employed in. If you have worked for large companies, then this would be a part of your career track. This includes your salary, the position, etc.Lastly, the skills for the third section are skills that you have picked up from other job-seekers. These are your freelance skills. The last skills in the resume are skills that you have developed yourself.
